FAQs

Below is just a few common questions that people have. If your question is not listed, please contact us and we will answer!  Click the "contact us" tab above, then choose your preferred method of contacting us.

Are you part of a denomination?

No. FreedomRidge is a nondenominational, independent, Christian Church. We’re "autonomous" (self-ruling) having no outside governing board or national headquarters. We use no creeds or trappings from any denomination and have never belonged to any kind of denomination. Our only rule of faith and practice is the Bible, which we believe to be God’s inspired Word.

Where do you meet?

We meet at the new Ames Middle School, transforming their cafeteria area into a pretty comfortable space.  You can click here for a map and directions to the Middle School and a link to Cy-Ride's Sunday schedule if you travel that way.

What do you do?

We believe in "showing" more than just "talking," that is why we will have regular opportunities to show the love of Jesus in a practical way.  We want to give back to the community and make a difference in people's lives.  Contact us for more information.

What is your dress code?

The term "Sunday best" takes on a whole new meaning at FreedomRidge.  If you want to dress up, that is fine, but we just want you to know you may dress casually.  Our preacher will wear blue jeans on Sundays.
